Connect with cookies
Paste one Cookie-Editor export and your LinkedIn account is connected, no password needed.
Before you start
Use the browser you normally use for LinkedIn, on a computer. Curviate gives LinkedIn this browser's details together with your session. If you export from one browser or computer and paste in another, LinkedIn may sign the account out, and Curviate can't tell.
On a phone, use the Credentials tab instead: exporting cookies on mobile is fiddly.
Steps
- Install the Cookie-Editor extension. Its site links to the store for each browser.
- Open linkedin.com in the same browser and sign in to the account you want to connect.
- On the LinkedIn tab, click the Cookie-Editor icon, then Export, and choose JSON. This copies the export to your clipboard.
- In the Curviate dashboard, open Accounts, click Connect account, stay on the Cookie tab and paste into the box.
The dashboard reads the export in your browser and shows "LinkedIn session found, valid until" a date. Pick the location LinkedIn should see you connect from, then connect.
What leaves your browser
Only your LinkedIn session cookies: li_at, and li_a when you have a Sales Navigator or Recruiter session. The rest of the export stays in your browser, and the paste box never shows what you pasted. Curviate uses the session cookies for this connect and does not store or log them.
Time zone for activity hours
If the export carries your LinkedIn time zone, the form suggests it for the account's activity hours. Change it or clear it before you connect. It is set only when the account has no time zone yet, and you can change it later in the account's safety settings.
If the paste is refused
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| This isn't a JSON export. | In Cookie-Editor, click Export, choose JSON, and paste the result. |
| This JSON isn't a Cookie-Editor export. | Export from a linkedin.com tab with Cookie-Editor, choosing JSON. |
| No LinkedIn session cookie (li_at) found. | Sign in to linkedin.com in this browser, then export again. |
| The LinkedIn session in this export expired. | Sign in to linkedin.com again, then export again. |
| This export is too large. | Export from a linkedin.com tab only. |
If your Sales Navigator or Recruiter session in the export has expired, the account still connects, without the premium product.
For agents
An agent never needs your password, cookies or verification codes. It asks for a connect request, and you complete it in your own Curviate dashboard, where it is listed under Accounts.
