Work for clients
One Team per client keeps each client's Accounts, Contacts, Motions and billing apart, and lets you hand a Team over when the work ends.
Create a Team per client
In the dashboard, open the Team switcher and choose Create a Team. Name it after the client. You are its Owner and the Owner who receives its invoices. You land in the new Team, on Accounts.
A new Team starts with no subscription and no seat. Add a seat to connect an Account. Creating a Team changes nothing in your other Teams, and your API keys stay as they are.
From the API, POST /v1/teams with {"name": "Acme"} creates the Team. Every role can call it, and two identical calls create two Teams. Its next_step says how to work in the new Team:
- With an all-teams API key,
next_step.team_headeris the header to send (X-Curviate-Team: <team_id>). The Team is usable at once. - With a team API key or a token,
next_step.commandiscurviate setup --team <team_id>, which gives the CLI a key for the new Team, andnext_step.urlopens your Teams in the dashboard.
Invite the client
Invite the client's people to their Team: in Settings › Teams, open the Team's ⋯ menu and choose Invite people. Each person connects their own LinkedIn Account in the Team. Their credentials stay theirs: you never need their password or cookies.
Hand the Team over
When the work ends, the client takes the Team:
- Make one of the client's people an Owner.
- Make that Owner the billing Owner, so invoices go to them.
- Leave the Team.
An Account never moves between Teams. An Account you connected in the client's Team stays there with its seat. To use a LinkedIn account in another Team, disconnect it and connect it again in that Team.
